My ex checks my phone when I'm asleep. Is that a dealbreaker?

I found out my ex has been unlocking my phone at night and reading my messages for about 8 months. Nothing was ever wrong in them. I'm not angry about jealousy, I'm angry that it was 8 months of being watched without knowing.
