Booked for the one week I'd had approved for 9 months. I declined and got asked whether I was "taking this seriously". Leave that can be interrupted isn't leave.
Side B (age 41)
The window closed and moving it meant your raise landed a quarter late. I should have asked instead of booking. I was trying to protect the money, not the calendar.
